Our home remodel began in March 2017 and was a long and tedious process! Most of the major construction ended in the fall but all the finish work was done afterwards by my husband.
The house (that I grew up in) originally started as a three-bedroom ranch in 1959 but we converted it to a two bedroom so we could add on a master bath/laundry room combination.
The original entryway was moved into the kitchen area with double french doors that lead to the newly remodeled front porch. The old entryway was converted into a pantry.
The house received all new insulation, drywall, electric, plumbing, and lighting. My talented husband crafted the dining room table and all the hanging shelves. We used the upper cabinets from my mom's old kitchen to use in the pantry. We tried to salvage and repurpose all that we could.
I spent my childhood here and suppose I'll be here until the end!
