My Story

Inspired by Flowers and My Passion for Decorating

My name is Jessica, and I am the owner at J Wellman Designs. I am conveniently located 25 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky in the small, southern Indiana town of Crandall. 

While most of you may know me as a Web Developer & Photographer, I ventured into the floral business in 2020 after I ordered a small batch of Sola Wood Flowers on a whim. My first order was placed in December of 2020. The flowers laid on my tabletop until 2021 when I decided I would finally do something with them. I put together a small arrangement for a bridal shower gift and that was the beginning of the madness!

The same time this new hobby was happening, I was in the process of building a studio for photography. The bottom floor would be used for client sessions and the top floor would be my office.

A New Business Was Born

Fast forward to 2024 and I do indeed take photos in the new studio but now my clients are beautiful flowers!

My business made a 360º turn and I've been thrilled with my decision. I don't think there can be a happier job in the world. After all, who doesn't love receiving flowers?

Hand-Dyed Sola Wood Flower Arrangements

We offer a variety of colors and styles in our arrangements. We strive to bring unique containers, some of which are hand crafted by like-minded artist from across the United States. 

The arrangements are one of kind so if you see something you like, you should grab it while it's in stock. We also offer delivery and shipping services (see more below) and participate in various outdoor events throughout the year. 

Although our online shopping area caters to local residents, you can still order if you live out of state. All you need to do is send a message for a shipping quote. We have shipped flowers all over the United States so if you see something you like, we can make it happen!

Small delivery fees are incurred outside of Harrison Co., Indiana when traveling to:
New Albany, Clarksville, Jeffersonville or Louisville, Kentucky
